Ah yes, Wall-E comes out today! Does anyone want to see it with me? Maybe later next week?
To get your robotic fix, check out BuyNLarge … especially interesting is the World News section! I would also recommend clicking “more” to find out more about their privacy policy. Read it well.

What happens when you take Garfield out of the Garfield comic strip?
The results are amazingly funny, sad and odd.

Whoopi Goldberg told Michelle Obama on “The View,”:
“I’m really glad to see you because any time you see black folks on the news, particularly women, they have no teeth, and the teeth that they have have gold around them and they can’t put a sentence together and perhaps now, we can, this is, you are helping to change a perception. I know it sounds funny and silly but if you are a black women and you are tuning in and every time you see someone who is supposed to represent black women and women not very very fair skin women, I am talking about dark black women, I just want to say thanks.”
Ummm…What? Okay, so I’m not a real political activist, but I hate seeing people condensed down to one thing: their race. Michelle Obama went to Harvard Law School. She seems brilliant, well articulated and polished. No, I don’t agree with her every thought, nor do I agree with all of her husbands proposals and views on politics and life, but I do know that there is more, much more to this lady than her race. How disrespectful can a person be? Why not ask her something where she can showcase her intelligence?
If Cindy McCain was interviewed and the focus was on her blond hair and how blonds are generally portrayed as dumb…
“I’m really glad to see you because any time I see blonds on the news, particularly women, they have a blank stare and they can’t put a sentence together and perhaps now you are helping to change a perception. I know it sounds funny and silly but if you are a blond woman and you are tuning in and every time you see someone who is supposed to represent blond women, not honey blonds, I am talking about platinum blonds, I just want to say thanks.”
Ridiculous.

“Soooieee” is a hog call for those of you who don’t know!
As many of you know, it’s tornado season. We’ve had a few good ones here in Oklahoma, and one of those was captured on video hitting a hog farm. I wonder, is this a forecast of things to come in Razorback football?

How long have you been a lurker, lurker?
Do you think you’ve gone undetected?
Now ask yourself this question: how long could someone live in your house without you knowing about it?
In Japan, a homeless woman was caught after living in a man’s closet for a year! A whole year! Is that not typical for a male to pay so little attention to detail that a woman lived in his closet undetected for a year?
The funny thing is, he only noticed when some of his food went missing!
(Makes you want to go home and clean, doesn’t it?)

Consider this — a person striving towards something they know that they truly want, but not meeting with the success they desire.
With no specific endpoint given, at what point does the person stop striving towards the goal in question? And is the “when” entirely a function of personality? Does the value of the goal play a part as well?
In other words, does one strive towards the goal with unwavering and steadfast determination (which, by the way, is what most success books would say) or does one, at some point, accept that the goal is one that they were not intended to achieve?
And if so, where is that point? Presumably, if you answered yes to the when being a function of personality, it would be different for everyone. But, if you throw personality out and consider only the facts of the situation….when should one give up and accept vs. continue striving mightily? Is there an answer to this?

There isn’t much that thrills my little heart more than seeing a jet roar across the sky. Okay, so SIX in formation does!
Last Saturday we headed out to the Air Force base to watch the Thunderbirds, a Harrier and a F-15. It’s my belief that I could watch jets fly o’erhead for hours upon hours and not get tired of watching them. It’s also my belief that the first guy who secures me a ride in one will win my heart forever. Kidding, kidding…well…sorta.

My ever industrious co-worker went quickly to the site listed to check it out. Here was his response to the rest of us via e-mail:
“According to their website, one of the benefits of oral HA is that it “can make one full of beans and be rich in youth energy.” We might want to add that to our bargaining platform for the value of bulk HA. Who can put a price on being full of beans?”
Because really, how can you put a price on being full of beans?
And no, our product has nothing to do with beans. Nothing.
